Each bag contains a half-pound of our Chestnut mushroom.  The Chestnut mushroom (a.k.a. black poplar) has an earthy flavor with notes of a peppery finish. Its texture can excite an average dish and plays very well in crème sauces.  It excels in miso and other broth soups, or add it to a stir fry or your favorite sauce recipe.  It can also be seared with garlic and oil or butter and added atop salad or in spring rolls.  Because of its distinctive flavor, the Chestnut mushroom holds up well against other strong flavors, making it ideal to accompany asparagus, onions, Brussel sprouts, or any other flavor that might otherwise overpower a typical mushroom. 8oz.
